In addition to the practice of librarianship, I enthusiastic about my family, music (I play violin in a local orchestra and am a classically trained singer who has performed in operas and musical theater), books, and I am a Star Trek fan. Before switching careers, I practiced law for about 10 years. I try to stay very aware of current events, and for several years I have volunteered as an assistant chief election precinct officer in Virginia.
